Scott Brady, owner of Sunshine Custom Paint & Body, Inc., has an extensive background in Collision Repair in Gillette, WY. Scott’s education in this field began in Highmore, South Dakota, which is his hometown. He served an apprenticeship there before he went on to attend the Wyoming Technical Institute. At WyoTech he earned certification as a technician in the field of auto body and painting.
After graduation Scott became employed in the oil fields, where he worked diligently to save the money he needed to build his own company. His vision was to provide customers with custom auto body painting and accident repair services in Gillette WY. He opened Sunshine Custom Paint & Body, in 1984. At this time, the business only had 2 employees, 6 stalls, and 1 handmade booth for painting.
Over the years, the business was able to expand to the size it is today. We are proud to say that we employ 1 detailer, 2 painters and 10 auto body technicians to provide collision repair in Gillette, WY and its surrounding areas. The building has an additional workspace (a total of 17,000 square feet), 1 Chief EZ-Liner Laser frame rack, and 2 down draft bake-on paint booths. In addition to all this, there is also a drive-in bay for estimates, which is decorated in a style reminiscent of a 1950’s diner. On top of all these improvements, several loaner cars were added to the services in 2001.
Today, Scott and his family are still a large part of this business. Scott is the owner and Scott’s son, Zane, is the general manager. Zane graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Business Management with a minor in finance in 2008. He is also an excellent painter and even won 5th place in the USA-VICA national competition for auto body technicians. Curtis Talcott is a very effective shop manager, while Lisa Teigen is our office manager. They are here to help make sure your needs are addressed promptly and professionally. Scott’s daughter, Chantel, has done an excellent job working as our office associate. Karen Boedeker is our newest addition to the shop staff. She is a proficient bookkeeper. All the technicians who work at Sunshine Custom Paint & Body are well qualified to return your vehicle to its pre-accident condition, including mechanical work.
We consider training of utmost importance for the present and the future of Sunshine Custom Paint and Body, Inc. This industry is constantly changing and we make sure that our technicians are trained properly to keep up with the new technology in today’s vehicles. As a result of this, we host I-CAR training classes for auto collision repair.
